Originated in southwest San Diego, California DJ SIXX came on the rise as being one of the best west coast dj. Born Mark Azucena has been in the game since 1991 at a young age of 14 looking up to high school dj's, wedding dj's, and dj's that would be behind an MC on a MTV music video. DJ SIXX wanted to be the dj that actually uses the turntables as a musical instrument.

DJ Sixx started djing at an early age, he started rockin parties with his high school crew, and at the age of 17 found himself already in the club scene. For many djs, the DJ BATTLE circuit came about in the late 90's having entering himself in many numerous dj battles from the World famous Beat Junkies represent classic to DMC's, ITF's, and car show battles. DJ SIXX won the Extreme Autofest dj battle which led him to be the official Extreme Autofest tour concert stage dj doing show in San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Diego. 2004 marked the last year for dj battles as DJ SIXX still did shows with scratch movie tour opening for the X-ecutioners and DJ MIX MASTER MIKE and also was selected as a judge for the DMC US FINALS 2004.

Being set that the whole battling djing was complete, it was time to move on to bigger things. DJ SIXX met up with West's finest radio DJ's BILLE KNIGHT and DJ SEIZE working under their own promotional company which then led to an on air mix show shift on the biggest radio station in San Diego, Blazin 98.9 XMOR. Killing the airwaves and breaking hot new music was the best feeling ever. Being one of the hottest dj's his local city was good look but DJ SIXX then had the hunger for more trying to get at the national level. Radio made him dj bigger shows for bigger artist such as Chamillionaire, Lil Flip, Too Short, 112, Baby Bash, E-40, Ice Cube, Young Jeezy, and many more.

DJ SIXX created a buzz by making mixtapes which initially let to being inducted to DJ WHOOKID's (dj for 11x platinum artist 50 cent) crew of mixtape/ radio dj's called THE SHADYVILLE DJ's. "I thought that being well connected with every radio dj in the nation would help me out when I break out an artist". In 2004 DJ SIXX met with San Diego's finest club promoter Jay Avery and became the resident hip hop dj for Jay Avery Presents/ Infinite entertainment rocking all the hottest clubs every weekend in the San Diego downtown gaslamp area, oldtown, and La Jolla San Diego. At this present day, DJ SIXX still works hard in music studio production and stays heavy rocking the club scene playing the best in hip hop, party mash ups, rock, house, reggae dancehall. DJ SIXX would now be considered has the west's top RADIO/CLUB/ MIXTAPE DJ.
