ROCKKO
It only took Niles (Not Yet
DJ Rockko) one time to listen
to a bad DJ and realize he could
do better. He saved up his money
and got two turntables, a mixer,
needles, speakers, and an amp
and began a talent of a lifetime.
Soon after moving to Minneapolis,
he hooked up with DJ Brother
Jules, who ran Vinyl Kings Record
Pool and mixed on the radio.
Practicing nonstop, DJ Rockko
became one of the hottest DJs
in Minneapolis, and the only
one in High school. He began
DJing college parties, filling
in at KMOJ doing mixes, and
running Vinyl Kings Record Pool.
One thing led to another and
Brother Jules let him mix during
his mixshow slot, the Friday
Drive at 5 mix.
DJ Rockko then left Minneapolis
and went to attend Howard University
in Washington, DC, where he
continued to showcase his talents
and drive, and unanimously became
the "Best DJ at Howard
University. Also during his
freshman year, he became the
Music Director of WHBC, Howard
University's radio station,
and served as the main DJ for
the station up to his graduation.
Along with that, he stayed busy
DJing regular club dates in
DC, and was the official DJ
for Howard University. All this
brought the opportunity to travel
around the country.
Now affiliated with Jelly Radio,
just tune in and catch him in
the mix. “The Kids Focused!!!!
D-D-D-D-D-D-J Rockoooooooo”.
