Born in Brooklyn, NEW YORK, Kevar Rivera was raised to the sounds of urban music in the early 80’s while hiphop was in its infant stages. In 1990, Kevar began his stage performance at the legendary Apollo Theater as a mc. He then went on to sign a recording contract with MODERN R/ATLANTIC records which gave him the opportunity to travel, perform, and learn the recording business. After 1 year on the label Kevar was released of his contract but continued to be a part of the music business. From 1990 to 1994 Kevar became the video host and dj for Primetime Videos. The cutting edge of video music shows ranking number 2 in the New York, tri-state area under legendary video music box. Keeping the streets flooded with his mixtapes and spinning at the hottest hip-hop functions Kevar went on to form Wizemen Inc. with partner Dj Rson.

In 1998, Dj Kevar hosted the lyricist lounge tour official mixtape including several shows from the tour. Summer of 2001, he was the guest dj and host along side r&b singer/actor Tyrese for MTV JAMZ, during the same time frame he was an intern for clear channel and also managing his own show at college radio station SDSU KCR live. In 2005, Kevar signed an exclusive deal to perform dj services and host the pre-show including half time events at Miami arena for the NIFL National Indoor Football League. Staying fresh in the clubs, putting out the mixtape series “GIFT TO THE STREETS” DJ KEVAR was picked up by up and coming entertainment company PEARL HARBOR RECORDS and signed on as head of there artist/mixtape department. DJ KEVAR continues to bang serato in clubs, mixtapes and special events from Miami to San Diego, working with partner Rson on www.blocknewslive.com and now joins “RADIO’S NEW PROBLEM” jellyradio.com. And also co-producing a new reality show, Dj Kevar continues to bring a breath of fresh air to the entertainment industry.
